grow up, grow on, grow out

Hello my lovely, fellow SAYSers. I decided to start this topic for some all-round education (for me, but hopefully this will help others too!)

The topic on today's agenda is: netspeaking. To tell the truth, I know only one word of the 'net-language', which is LOL. Kind of sad. So, I was wondering, if you have the time and will, would you mind sharing the ones you know about?

Oh, and I have two abbreviations I'd like to know the meaning of:

FYI
AWOL

 :jessi: :alli:

Thanks .... *tries to whistle and heads off*...

Thanks for this Steph... I'm old so I don't really know too many (although I've learned a lot from my SAYSers). Here's a few I've used over the years on the mom's boards that I'm on (support boards for moms... mine are for people who have kids the ages mine are)

DH- Dear Husband (or darn, depending on you mood, lol--and not to be confused with Deathly Hallows over here :P )
DW- Dear Wife
DS- Dear Son
DD- Dear Daughter

As a parent... these are good to know, lol. I know you probably don't appreciate it, but us parents are just trying to keep our kids safe. Being an educated and involved parent just means they love you.

Oh, here's one I haven't seen on here:
